Dances
During the evening, in addition to modern dance music we plan to play some traditional Serbian dance music called “kolo” which is traditionally played at most large gatherings of friends and family. It is a fairly fast-paced line dance but the basics are pretty easy to get the hang of.
If you’d like to join us, here’s a fairly short video on how the dance works and the various kinds of moves you can learn. You don’t have to remember anything fancy, just the basic 3-step version is more than enough for you to join in and have a fun time! Don’t worry, we’ll go through it again on the day.
And here’s how looks in practice.
If you’d really like to try to go for the “fancy” version (which looks more like the above video), here’s a tutorial of how you can adapt the basic 3-step version. Unfortunately, it’s in Serbian so you’ll have to guess what he’s saying.
